R6300v2/R6300v2 Open Source Firmware

Merge downloads and menus

I'm just happily testing out the new firmwares - though I think it was more difficult to find than necessary: If I click on the menu "dd-wrt", then "r6300", I get an EMPTY list - only when searching I get to a place where I can see all downloads.

Is it possible to merge the menu on top (it says "cat=92" in the url, under DD-WRT-R6300) and the available downloads (it says "cat=81"), as well as the menu to the left, where it also redirects to cat=92, which is empty?

And the category for r6300 (cat=91) is also empty...

A Clean release of DD-WRT or Open-WRT for the R6300 v.1

I just recently purchased the infamous Netgear R6300 Dual Band Router, I totally love it, however after seeing the features that the XXX-WRT firmwares support above and beyond what Netgear offers I would like to run my Router on the WRT firmware.  Now as I was looking through the blogs and comments I noticed there were  a lot of bugs in the latest versions for the R6300.  What I am interested in knowing, is there going to be a Stable, Clean version ever for the Netgear R6300 Version 1.  As I do not want to really buy another R6300 v2.

Revert Back To OEM Firmware(Netgear R6300)

Hello Guys,

Well basically, I flashed Kong Mod Full-Fetured BIN K3 21995 on my new Netgear R6300 and I want to go back to OEM but in the post kong says that "Currently standard dd-wrt does not allow to flash back to OEM through the web interface". I am a noob at all of this custom firmware stuff so how can I flash back to OEM?

Thanks,

R6300 Kong r21808

I am using the KongAC r21808 and noticed a couple of things that the nvram space is incorrect.

Space Usage

NVRAM

32.02 KB / 32 KB

CIFS

(Not mounted)

JFFS2

3,304.00 KB / 95.00 MB

guest wlan on

Using kong mod 23195 (Firmware: DD-WRT v24-sp2 (04/24/13) stdkong)

When seting up a guest network on the router It does not work. The clients when loging in dont recieve a ip address. Its like the multiple dhcp server wont work for the interface.

Tested it on an older version of dwrt and worked flawesly when the client switches from one wlan to another its ip address changes inmediately.

Can confirm it ?

thanks

Feedback on DD-WRT.v24-K26_R6300-25-02-2013

So as most folks who have lived in the IT space know, maintenance windows come and go quickly and have to be managed accordingly.

The same holds true for me at home, as I work from home and any change to the network really impacts me greatly.  Weekends are the only time I get to experiment and then have to decide at some point Sunday whether to rollback or "take a chance".
