FON firmware on the Netgear?

The FONbasic source code for the Linksys router, based on OpenWrt is available to download at http://download.fon.com/firmware/0.6.6/FONbasic-0.6.6.tar.bz2

The FONbasic source code for La Fonera, based on OpenWrt is available to download at http://download.fon.com/firmware/fonera/latest/fonera.tar.bz2

The FONbasic source code for La Fonera+, based on OpenWrt is available to download at: http://download.fon.com/firmware/foneraplus/latest/foneraplus.tar.bz2

Cable provider ZON in

Cable provider ZON in Portugal is installing NETGEAR routers with FON firmware built in....so Netgear allready ported FON functionality

Souvik is working on a Netgear OpenWRT port. Once that's working, we hopefully would be able to get it through the openwrt.org and after that it will be much easier to use FON on the open source router.

Hi, if the netgear CPE (used by ISP ZON in Portugal) is allready "fon"compliant; why can't it be made available for all other netgear firmware out there?

Any idea about what chipset

Any idea about what chipset/flash/sdram the CPE with FON uses? and what is the firmware version? If it is the same one as WGR614L -- well and good. We may be able to use the code.

If it is not the same router as WGR614L then we need to port that code to Netgear firmwares for WGR614L or its other open source variants. Which can be done using any of the FON opensource version and is completely independent of whether other Netgear routers runs FON or not.

Also A netgear router running an application doesn't really mean Netgear has the access to its source code or has the right to release it. It may or may not depending on how the CPE was implemented, who was the software vendors etc.

I will try to find out more details about this. If anything interesting comes up will post an update here.

and select broadcom (???)

make world

and try to create these strange TRX/CHK images?
