I'll kick this one off :)

I'll kick this one off :)

Mac OS X is by far my OS of choice, followed by (currently) CrunchBang Linux. I'm not a Linux expert but I wish I was, and I enjoy trying different distros and seeing Linux evolve. The first time I tried Linux, it was about 7-8 years ago with Mandriva, and it's come a long way as a whole since then!!

I also own a Windows netbook with Xandros Presto on it as well, but that isn't my "main" machine.

I'm a big fan of Linux Mint.

I'm a big fan of Linux Mint. Debian runs on all my servers and it has always been my favorite distro. But on my desktop I want something a bit more bleeding edge with the cool visual effects and all. Somehow Ubuntu never really felt right (Could be it's just the damn brown everywhere) and Mint saves me time installing all the codecs. If you just forget it's pretty much all Ubuntu under the hood it really is a great distro.

I agree - I've never been a huge fan of Ubuntu's default skin. Do you know if Mint works well on netbooks, and if it can run off of a flash drive?

I don't know. Linux Mint basically is Ubuntu with some extra/modified services. I think it needs some modifications on performance to make it workable. I've never really worked with a Linux netbook, so it might just be it work well out of the box.
