Openwrt on 614L, possible DNS failure?

I just flashed my 614L to OpenWRT.  Everything went smoothly.  My ISP, however, uses 192.168.x.x which conflicted with the newly flashed router.  I attempted to change my IP address back to what my ISP had originally setup (10.0.0.1) and applied the changes.  I can no longer access the 614L via the web interface.  I'm still able to access the other computer on my network but I can't get out to the net.   I ran an IPCONFIG and this is what I've got:

Windows IP Configuration

 Ethernet adapter Local Area Connection:

   Connection-specific DNS Suffix  . :

   Link-local IPv6 Address . . . . . : fe80::a190:1ef:3d5b:d79d%10

   Autoconfiguration IPv4 Address. . : 169.254.215.157

   Subnet Mask . . . . . . . . . . . : 255.255.0.0

   Default Gateway . . . . . . . . . :

Tunnel adapter Local Area Connection* 6:

   Media State . . . . . . . . . . . : Media disconnected

   Connection-specific DNS Suffix  . :

Tunnel adapter Local Area Connection* 7:

   Media State . . . . . . . . . . . : Media disconnected

I don't know if this is recoverable without a serial cable.  Any ideas?

You should be able to do a

You should be able to do a hard reset and get it back to using 192.168.1.1. I would do so with the WAN cable unplugged.

Then afterwards you should be able to connect. If so change it back to 10.0.0.1 and make sure DHCP is turned on and the start address is like 10.0.0.100.

Reboot and try and connect. If you can then plug your WAN cable back in and see if it connect to the WAN.

I tried the 30-30-30 reset but it didn't work.

I also did an arp -a and got:

C:\Users\John>arp -a

the mac of the router is not listed.   I'm still not clear as to how I'm able to see the other computer on the network.  I don't have any experience with Openwrt and was running Tomato prior to this.  I guess it's possible I turned something off that I shouldn't have.

Side note: I have a WGR614L and a 614v9.  The 614L powers up with an orange check box that never goes away (when compared with the v9).

I finally got my serial to

I finally got my serial to usb chip soldered on and used Putty to connect. I'm not sure what to do at this point. I expected to be at CFE, but I ended up loaded into OpenWRT in busybox.
