WPA(2) Support with Tomato and OpenWRT

Hi,

are there any more infos about WPA(2) support in Tomato and OpenWRT? As I know Tomato and OpenWRT don't currently support it, right?

Ah cool. Thanks. OpenWRT would be the best option for me because I like the command line :)

Please post it here when the version is still available.

Hmm... I thought it's currently not supported? If it's supported this is really great and I'll try it out these days. Is this the latest version you've found on this website (myopenrouter.com 1.27)?

I've now installed Tomato. WPA is working. But it's still not possible to configure G/N Mixed Networks. Just N-Only :(

Edit: The solution is to choose "Auto".

Ah great news. Thanks. In the meantime I'm still using Tomato. The performance in general seems to be much better then in DD-WRT. The GUI is much more faster, the wireless performance seems to be better too.

Will the new kamikaze based on Kernel 2.6?

Can you expand on the wireless performance with Tomato?

I tried it last night, and when I was two rooms away, my connection dropped to near non-existent levels. I tried with dd-wrt and the netgear firmware, and no problems.

Do you think I should retry tomato?

Hm... I cannot really give you an answer on this. I experienced today that the connection quality is "low". In average 33 - 41 and my router is just about two meters away from me. My RSSI is 55 to 60. But the strange thing is, if I'm in another room the connection is better. I cannot really explain why that happen. I'm guessing that another WLANs near to me make some noise.

But if I compare it with DD-WRT I must say that my subjective impression is that tomato has a better performance.

Problem might have been with the USB N based adapters. I give up on N, and have gone back to 802.11G

I'll reflash it with Tomato later and see if it works ok.
