Hi,
I just bought myself a WNR3500L and just downloaded DD-WRT Kong Mod. I´ve used Netgears products in the past and thought it would be a very easy thing to just simply upload the new firmware to my new router... but no... I ran into trouble directly.
I downloaded and unzipped the BIN file to my disk.
I go into the "Router Upgrade", pick the BIN file (tried two versions, but the one i´m currently trying is dd-wrt-usb-ftp-samba3-vpn-O2-v24-K26-broadcom.bin) and press "Upload".
Directly i get an error message saying: "Please assign the correct file. The file format is *.chk".
What am i doing wrong here? Any help is much appreciated.
Thank you for your reply mate, solved the problem right away when I found some time to finally get to it. The guide i was following left out that step, so I guess it was something they just took for granted that everybody knows about.
My heart almost stoped tho after reflashing... DD-WRT was up and running nicely, I could configure everything... then after a reboot, the darn thing just refulsed to boot.
Thankfully, a common reset solved the problem and it has worked perfectly now for 2 days.
Does this process also work for Tomato .trk files? Or does this only work for DD-WRT .bin files?
