Hi val532,

Hi val532,

what hdd case is this? Anyways, as you can see from the dmesg output:

scsi 0:0:0:0: Direct-Access SAMSUNG S2HZA08964 PQ: 0 ANSI: 2
sd 0:0:0:0: [sda] 3907029168 512-byte hardware sectors (2000399 MB)
sd 0:0:0:0: [sda] Write Protect is off
sd 0:0:0:0: [sda] Mode Sense: 1a 0c 00 00
sd 0:0:0:0: [sda] Assuming drive cache: write through
sd 0:0:0:0: [sda] 3907029168 512-byte hardware sectors (2000399 MB)
sd 0:0:0:0: [sda] Write Protect is off

sd 0:0:0:0: [sda] Assuming drive cache: write through
/dev/scsi/host0/bus0/target0/lun0: p1
sd 0:0:0:0: [sda] Attached SCSI disk

The kernel does not recognize 2 seperate drives here. There are two possibilities why it fails.

a) you changed the raid mode and did not reset the controller. when changing raid modes of such raid controllers you must press the reset button.

b) the current kernel used in this firmware does not support this specific hardware, this is rather unlikely

To me it looks like the mode of this hdd case is set to JBOD.

Hi yes my case is in JBOD, on

Hi yes my case is in JBOD, on windows i see the two HDD separately. And y have an USB case for HDD with an 1tB in and a seconde USB drive conected on the 1tB, and DD WRT see the two USB HDD correctly.

I have no idea of what i can do for my two HDD (in my case with SIL5744) can view by DD WRT.

Multiple device support with

Multiple device support with JBOD over USB needs a kernel >=2.6.31. Since broadcom drivers currently only support kernel 2.6.24 you are out of luck here.

I don't think we will see a new kernel soon on the broadcom units.

Kong,

Kong,

Nice job on the firmware. Like the latest version, however, 3 issues came up:
1. SNAT only allows traffic from the router subnet (i.e. 192.168.1.0/24) This is causing an issue on my network that has another router behind the firewall that DD-WRT router traffic to through static routing table (i.e network 192.168.2.0/255.255.255.0 is routed through 192.168.1.3). Don't ask, but I am using a server to route VPN traffic through.

2. Access Restrictions still does not appear to manage the iptables firewall rules very well. I have entries stacking up in the lan2wan chain.

3. iptables-save symbolic link does not work anymore

Let me know if you need more info,

Allen

Kong... great firmware.

Kong... great firmware. Running it on Belkin F7D4301 with Transmission and NZBGet and an HP Photosmart Printer.

I have a 2TB WD drive mounting at /opt, /jffs, /swap and /mnt.

I have another 2TB WD formatted ext3 that I'd like to put into a hub off the router. When I try it works, except I'm getting nothing under /opt. I figure it's being mounted twice, from what I've read.

Is there a tutorial on how to get multiple drives going?

Kong, et. al.,

Kong, et. al.,

I've read some other threads on this and can't get it to work:

1st USB 2TB drive with /opt, /swap, /jffs and /mnt mounts no problem

2nd USB 2TB drive, no label, mounted and accessible

I noticed /opt was empty. Is there an easy way to fix this?

;-)

Then pull the power cable and 10 secs then plug back in. Now see if the mounting order changed as the 2nd drive mounted would take 1st priority or 2nd drive swap will be used and not 1st connected drive or this is how it was before 27Oct2011 firmware.

I'm on the 10/26/11 v24-sp2 build.

Tried something different.  Still with automount enabled I used UUID to mount the base file systems and they worked.  However, the second drive also got mounted to /jffs?!?!

I'm going to try putting a label on the second drive's partition and see if that does anything.

Ok, it works... first drive mounts properly, second mounts under /tmp/mnt/disc1-part1!

Going to try pressing my luck.  I have a third 2TB drive I'm going to format Ext3 and see if I can get it going too.  If it works. I'll have 6TB hanging off the router and a printer!

I'll report back.

Whoo hoo!

Ok, final config is this:

Belkin F7D4301 w/ two USB ports

DD-WRT v24-sp2 10/26/11 stdkong

Transmission - Torrent downloads

NZBGet - Newsreader

1 USB Hub (unpowered as all devices have their own p/s)

3 Western Digital 2TB USB drives

HP Photosmart 7960 shared (tested and works)

All working well.  Great job Kong!
