WNR3500U

Wondering if anyone has any experience with the WNR3500U.

From what I can see on Netgear's site they do not mention it. Basically they call it a WNR3500 V2 but it has a USB port that the V2 doesn't.   It will take the V2 firmware but not the "L" firmware which supports USB.

I got also the WNR3500U

I got also the WNR3500U/WNR3500L
I flash it with the lite version of DDWRT, then the Tomato version for WNR3500L

I do a full reset, configure it, and seem to work fine...

Can i consider this on as a WNR3500L or V2 ?
According to this : http://forum1.netgear.com/showthread.php?t=42113
and to what i see on my Status page of Tomato :

Model : Netgear WNR3500L/U/v2
Chipset : Broadcom BCM4716 chip rev 1 pkg 10

i got the V2 ?
So i need to flash the V2 version of Tomato ?

@Erik G: To clear confusion

@Erik G: To clear confusion about your router model you should look at the front side of your router.
You will get more information in the following link...
http://www.myopenrouter.com/forum/thread/35355/help-how-to-distinguish-3...

Flash your router with "Tomato Firmware for NETGEAR WNR3500Lv2 Initial Release" if and only if your router model is "WNR3500Lv2".

Hi, I am having trouble

Hi, I am having trouble connecting my Samsung tablet (Google, android) to a WNR3500L/U router. The router has a push button for automatic connection which works fine for connecting my laptops, but the Samsung tab is not connecting. It keeps asking for a "password" which I do not have. The label on the router gives me a "security PIN" but that does not work as a password. The "advanced options" gives me an option to select "push button" in the WPS field. I select that, but still no connection through the push button.
Any suggestions?

Hi,

Hi,
Thanks for anyone trying to help.
I had to resort to Netgear Tech support which was very good even though i had to pay $39 because the router was out of warranty. But they came online through my laptop and reset the password on the WNR3500L/U. Then, it connected to the Samsung pad with no problem. Bottom line for other users, the push button to connect works well for laptops, but not for tablets. You have to have the password for the tablet, which I did not have and it is not printed on the label along with the serial # as some routers do.
