Have one WNDR3800 and a E3000 both on 100/100 fiber on different ISPs. Both are running 19519 firmware. Get around 11-12 Mbit with MPPE Encryption enabled and 16-17 Mbit with encryption disabled. Have ordered a Asus RT-N66U that I will test DD-WRT and Tomato on to see if I can get it to run faster against the WNDR3800. Run MTU 1404, only way for me to get it to work.
Any ideas, suggestions how to tweak ? What speed do you get?
Tested the WNDR3800 against a Linux server with dual core CPU and 4 Gb of RAM. Got 2,40 Mbyte/s transfer speed.
So my assumptions so far regarding PPTP performance:
E3000 = ~10 Mbit
WNDR3800 = ~22 Mbit
