Kong 22200 dd-wrt build on Netgear WNR3500L v1 NVRAM size wrong?

Recently went from old 19545 to the 22200 build.  Everything seemed fine until I set some configuration settings and rebooted.  After that the wireless radio showed on but the light was off.  nvram show indicated negative ~17 space left.  I tried clearing UPnP and traffic which didn’t help and then I noticed that the Space Usage page showed NVRAM 32/64 KB.  I definitely downloaded the 32k version “usb-ftp-samba3-vpn-nv32k-broadcom.bin”.  Has anyone else seen this with the 32k version?

Might be a visual bug. You can slo check in a konsole through ssh or telnet:

nvram show | grep size:

Only Brainslayers K3 builds for the WNR3500L V1 have 64KB of nvram.

Tried the 22000 build as well and had the same issue. All along I've used the vpn version so I switched to the dlna version and that one is correctly showing the NVRAM and operating perfectly.

I have the same issue with my WNR3500L and 22200 build for 32k. Everything works ok until the size used grows beyond 432k and then the router goes haywire. i.e port forwarding entries disappear, I am unable to set the right wireless parameters, etc.

FYI, the web interface shows 64k but if I run nvram show, it will show a negative number; of course the question becomes of what happens with the overflow - drop off or does it overwrite the firmware :-)
BTW, overall great builds and keep up the good work kong!

The 64K in the GUI is a

The 64K in the GUI is a visual bug in that build, caused by a missing commit. But this does not influence nvram. Overwriting nvram is not caused by this bug, but a problem in general. While it will not overwrite the firmware it will cause broken nvram settings which you can then reset. Newer K3 builds offer 64K nvram on the WNR3500L, last K3 build I tried worked fine on the WNR3500L, thus if you run so mayn services which need a lot of nvram settings you should probably try BrainSlayers last K3 build. If you were playing around with features and noticed later on you don't need some of them, then you should do a reset If you enable and then disable a feature, the nvram settings for this feature will still be there and consume nvram space.
