So guys and gals
I have :
Tomato Firmware v1.28.9054 MIPSR2-beta K26 USB vpn3.6
USB support integration and GUI,
Linux kernel 2.6.22.19 and Broadcom Wireless Driver 5.10.147.0 updates
on my router today. What should I upgrade to, that won't make me reconfigure all my IP adddresses / DHCP...
wow - over 100 views, no replies??
In your first posting, maybe i am missing the question, but it more or less looks like you are talking to yourself. Which is probably why no one has replied to this..
I suppose the lack of a question mark might make it seem like I'm talking to myself.. well, that and the fact that I'm prone to talk to myself...
But no, it's a serious question.
My router has this:
Tomato Firmware v1.28.9054 MIPSR2-beta K26 USB vpn3.6
USB support integration and GUI,
Linux kernel 2.6.22.19 and Broadcom Wireless Driver 5.10.147.0 updates
What's the appropriate upgrade path that will not require a full wipe and reset of all my stuff. I don't have 2 days to fart around with copying all the settings and resetting everything on my router.
you should be able to a shibby or toastman build without issues. If you experience any issues you can always export the nvram, place all the stuff you want to keep in a text file, erase the nvram and import the setting back into the nvram.
Hmm.
ok. can you maybe post a link to some instructions? I've not updated in quite a while.

Owch.
So, you're a dutchman? My surname is from friesland.
:) Small world.
but no, I'm actually from Belgium, hence the .be ;)
Ahh, just saw the language of the page, and it looked dutch...
Anyway - was hoping for something more 'specific' to how I'd plan to do it, not a general upgrade doc - the world is full of basic / generic HowTo's...
Well as upgrading from tomato to tomato is so simple there is no need for an "in depth" guide.
My personal steps for upgrading:
1) backup config (cfg file + nvram export)
2) download new tomato version (toastman before, shibby AIO lately)
3) flash the firmware
4) ...
5) PROFIT!
But...
don't some of these builds have stuff turned off by default, like DHCP?
I just don't need to "mess up" the upgrade...
