I've flashed the latest kong release ((07/24/14) kongac) to my Netgear Nighthawk R7000. but I would like to get back to stock firmware. But every firmware I now try to flash results in 'upgrade failed'.
Even trying to flash an older dd-wrt version fails. I've tried resetting to factory defaults. I've tried flashing via 'ddup --flash-remote', but everything fails.
Is there any other way to get back to the stock firmware?
Due to a buffer bug in latest gcc and musl libc this can happen on that build. Upcoming build fixes it. Usually trying a few times will work you can also try a different browser.
Anyways ddup should work, but it does not support netgear firmware yet. Thus first upgrade to latest release which should fix the buffer issue:
ddup --flash-latest
