tomato firmware for R7000

Hello all I hope you guys can help me out here. I was having some problems with my R7000 and decided to try DD WRT firmware. With DD WRT I was unable to change wireless channel (it would always revert to Auto) and my speed was really low (25Mbit 6 ft away from the router in the same room with my 150Mbit connection). I decided to try Tomato firmware and after reading instructions my understanding was I can simply do a hard reset and use default login info. I did not telnet into my router because I was going to reset all of the settings anyway so I had no reason to keep my old password. Maybe I misunderstood?

Now this gets weird. I did the initial Tomato firmware update and the router rebooted just fine. My old settings were transferred over and my speed was way better compared to DD-WRT. I decided to do a hard reset and login and flash the actual Tomato firmware. The problem is I am unable to login to my router because I am unable to reset the router. It appears the reset button is no longer doing anything after the update. I have tried many user name/password combination but I was not able to get in. I also tried 30/30/30 reset with no luck. The rotuer is 100% functional, both wired and wireless conections are OK. I just can't login.

Anyone have any idea how to fix this problem? Your help is much appreciated. Thanks!

Did you try using no username

Did you try using no username and then "admin" as the password? For some reason that is what I had to do and then oddly enough once I had the firmware upgraded again, I ended up having to use username "admin" and password "password" which is odd since that is the Netgear default. Good luck.

I have tried that too but

I have tried that too but nothing works. I also tried

admin admin
admin
admin
root root
root
root
admin myoldpassword
root myoldpassword
admin root
root admin
admin password
root password
password
myoldpassword
(all blank)

Nothing works. I also tried pushing WPS and unplugging power.
