They seem to have disappeared - can anybody please repost these? And pay some special attention on the Ctrl-C sequence (I was never able to make it work with those instructions). Thanks much

Correction - a search on this forum did reveal that they are stilll here. But my question still stands...
It has been quite some time since I had to do it but the key was assigning a static IP address to the computer and router in Windows.
Then watching and hitting ctrl-c several times when it boots.
Brandon, thanks. I did change the setup from automatic dhcp to static ip, but that didn't really help. So I'm still struggling with this. I have now figured out that it takes about 45' between the appearance of the 'checking crc' and the rest of the bootup sequence. AT some point it then shows: 'reboot in 3 seconds'. I then start pushing Ctrl-c as quickly as I can. I have tried this at least another 20 times, but have not been able to break in. Can somebody please tell me what I could still try? And whether I got the pinouits right (they do look like the ones on Kingkong's pic, but maybe I missed sthg)? Thanks!
