Hi all.
I've spent hours trying to find a solution to my problem and nothing yet.
I was trying to flash my stock R7000 to Merlin using the guide here: http://avi.im/blag/2015/asus-wrt-merlin-on-netgear-r7000/
I was at the part where I was doing an initial flash to Tomato. After successfully flashing the .chk file, the router reboot and I have not been able to access the Web interface ever since.
I am a total noob but I do not think the router is bricked because all the lights seem to be working right.
I have found similar forums online but none of the solutions have worked out for me. I`ve tried resetting the router, setting up static IP on my laptop, tried accessing through putty. I might not have done any of those correctly - but I`ve tried - and none are working.
Anyone have any ideas? I'd really like to get my network back up!

Can you tell me what you did? I am running into the same problem and have been searching for solutions.
