New to DD-WRT, need help flashing my R6700

I just picked up the Netgear R6700 yesterday from Costco. I downloaded the Kong firmware but can

figure out how to flash my router. I am trying to upload the firmware withy the Netgear genie, I cannot

find the advanced tab or anywhere that I can pick the firmware to upload into the router. Can somebody

give me some guidance on this please. I'm running OSX 10.10.4

Thanks

Ok, I figured it out, I

Ok, I figured it out, I flashed my R6700 with Kongs latest firmware. Everything works fine so far.

Can I get some guidance as what settings on the DD-WRT consule I should tweak to get the fastest performance out of my router?

My IPv6 is no longer working,

My IPv6 is no longer working, is there a way to figure out what IPv6 settings to use.

Regarding speeds I recommend playing around with the channels and using your Android or iPhone and wireless monitor.  Look for the channels your neighbors are not 'squatting' on and then change your channels to this.  Do not overlap your 2Ghz and 5GHz channels try to keep them a few apart.

Hello,

Hello,

Since you mentioned that you got the router recently, I was curious how you managed to get version v1 (which is supported) rather than version v2 (which is not supported yet) that most people are getting.

Was thinking of getting 6700 from Amazon as R7000P is twice the price but v2 is not supported

Hello,

Hello,

Since you got this router recently as you mentioned in the OP, am curious how you set up dd-wrt since v2 is not supported. Did you get v1?

Thanks,
