I've got a R6300 v1 running v24-sp2 (09/26/14) giga (SVN revision build r24170).
I have it confirgured to use the 2 physical interfaces to create 2 separate networks with distincly different names and passwords -
Both the 5ghz and 2.4ghz had been working great for about 1 year, but recently the 2.4 network keeps dropping out, and I have to reboot the router. This solves the problem for anywhere to 24 hours to several weeks, but the gremlin always comes back. It's always the 2.4ghz, the 5ghz has never gone down.
I also did a 30/30/30 reset about a month ago and re-loading the saved settings file. That seemed to solve the problem for a while, but it's now come back and occurrs daily.
Anyways, I'm completely flummoxed on how to properly troubleshoot the problem - any advice is appreciated. Thanks!
My R6300 also has broken 2.4ghz and working 5ghz with both stock firmware and the latest dd-wrt (2016 beta).
I almost feel like it's a hardware failure.
I am having the same issue with my R6300v1 with 10/06/14 kongac firmware , have had this firmware for over year and has been working flawlessly , but starting just a few weeks ago my 2.4 ghz band keeps dropping out , started just for a few minutes at a time but now drops out about every 24hrs and I have to rebbot router to get back up , anybody have any thoughts or is it obviously a hardware issue .
