R7000 and rollback to Netgear stock FW

Hi all!

on a R7000 with Firmware: DD-WRT v24-sp2 (07/01/15) std, how can i roll back to my last netgear stock firmware that i saved the last time?

If only try to do Restore and select this original backup, the operation ends with "failure" ....

Thanks very much

you need to do more reading

you need to do more reading and understand the difference between the router firmware and the actual router settings.  Backup stores your settings, not the firmware.  Backup/Restore settings is only useable with the specific firmware version that you backed up. To change firmware, reset the current firmare to defaults, following the guides on this forum.  Then use the firmware update function to either update or roll back.

like spacex says, you cannot

like spacex says, you cannot load firmware backup configuration files of one firmware to another one. This should be obvious, no? You can only do Genie -> Genie or DD-WRT -> DD-WRT. Not Genie -> DD-WRT or the reverse
