I have revived my router through a lot of processes. Now my router is up to the latest firmware but every time I tried to use my router is a wireless repeater bridge or client bridge it is bricked. I have to use nvram erase to get it back. Also I have tried to use it as a regular router but it does not work. The local connections and the pings are good but the internet does not work. I have tried both static and dynamic ip WAN addresses but still not working. Can someone offer me a real insight to this? Thanks.

Read some of the release notes for the R8000 firmware.. Tathagata and I think Kong both say that bridge mode does not work on the R8000.. I think I've read elsewhere that it's because the driver Netgear is supplying either has a bug for bridged network configuration or the driver Netgear is providing isn't supporting it.
Regardless - if you want to use a router as a bridge get a different router or use the stock firmware.
I just bought this router and it's in a boot loop after trying to use Client bridge. How do I recover?
