DHCP Stops Working: DD-WRT "Kong Mod" for NETGEAR R7800

I've recently flashed from stock firmware to DD-WRT v3.0-r31570M kongat (03/05/17). Flashing and initial setup went fine and everything was working. However, after some time, the DHCP server stops working. I've reset to defaults and setup anew 3 times now, and each time devices begin disconnecting and no new devices are able to connect because DHCP leases are not being issued (or renewed). It took a couple tries to narrow it down to this being the issue. I modified less and less on each new setup (such as no guest WiFi, no static leases, no OpenVPN, etc. etc.)

Temporarily, I've attempted to set the lease renewal for the max interval of 99999, and I'll see if this works around the issue for the moment. It will not be a good permanent fix obviously if that is the case, because if my suspicions is correct as to why and when DHCP starts encountering problems, I'll have the same problem again in around 70 days.

Used this link and the accompanying files for the flash to DD-WRT: https://www.myopenrouter.com/download/dd-wrt-kong-mod-netgear-r7800-upda...

Is anyone else experiencing this issue? If so, any help or tips on how to resolve will be appreciated. I'll update here if I find anything myself.

Hi ddwrt7800. I just recently

Hi ddwrt7800. I just recently also bought the Netgear R7800, flashed it with DD-WRT v3.0-r31780M kongat (03/26/17) and no problems here. It took some time to get OpenVPN client and server working simultaneously, with all functionalities. So no worries here at this moment. You could also try this more newer version of the formware... Good luck.
