I don't believe the v2 is supported. I think I read a different post saying that. Maybe its just a bit to new?

I too am suffering from

I too am suffering from having just received an R6700v2 with no option for open firmware. Would be good to know if this is going to be available soon, or if I should just return this and get a different one.

I'm in the same boat - sort of figured the Amazon deal was too good to be true.

i assume I have the V2 model as well but cannot seem to locate model version anywhere?

Count me in as someone

Count me in as someone willing to donate. A lot of these routers sold on Amazon recently due to the tremendous price. Hoping a build happens!

I have this router, but it

I have this router, but it comes with completely new radios which will require quite a bit of work. Thus port is on hold for this unit until I have enough time for it.

If you are looking for dd-wrt support in the next few month you should get a different unit. Besides that I doubt even if it gets support, that it will be a match for the R7000P or similar as it does not come with broadcom or qca radios.

Hi Kong,

Thank you very much for you updated, there are a lot of people with this router and we have faith  that there will be a Kong firmware for this router model

We are so exciting reading that about the R6700 V2 and we are willing to donate in the way that you prefer.

Just let us know.

Thanks!

I just bought these as well

I just bought these as well and would love to help in any way I can to get a build for the v2.  Let us know if you need donations, Kong!

I would not recommend getting

I would not recommend getting something other than Broadcom units either. Netgear has put out some weird models lately that all more or less seem to share the same/identical platform branded with different model numbers.

Would you say that the 6700v2

Would you say that the 6700v2 is similiar to which released model?

Have this currently and there is no open firmware available for me to flash

R6700 V2 uses LEDE - OpenWRT

R6700 V2 uses LEDE - OpenWRT derivative. I do not currently know of other options for te MediaTek chips. I suspect others have jumped in to support the V2 by now. The R6700 has always been a solid, low-cost router.
