I encoutered a strange problem.
My R7800 router is working great with DD-WRT v3.0-r30700M kongat (09/27/16). Is this the newest firmware at the moment?
After a few days (5 at the moment) the router freezes completely with lan-lights blinking orange and only the power led lighting orange. A reboot is only possible when I disconnect all the cables on the utp-ports. After that the router reboots nicely.
I tried to solve this freeze by rebooting the router every morning at 6:20h. I thought a rebout could help to flush caches (whatever..) This doesn't help because after the reboot the router freezes again. Only when lan-cables are disconnected the router boots nicely. Without the R7800 connected as a vpn-client with OpenVPN to Private Internet Access everything goes right for days. No freezes at all and no reboot required!
I'm very curious if anyone of you has a solution for this very strange problem? Thx!

Nope.. mine is dated 08/09/17 working great.
