Non-responsive R8000

hi everyone

I have an R8000 which i have flashed and working great with Tomato USB

Stupidly i decided to change to something else today. I think i have gone through the flashing process to go back to the default settings, i have all my lights on that should (wifi, power, ethernet port) - but cannot get it responding. 

have done 30-30-30. Been a good router, and i suspect i stuffed around with it one too many times.

1. Is there  way to flash from USB

2. If not, something like TFTP. I set my network settings and its not responding on 192.16.0.1 or 1.1

 

love some ideas?

Update on this

  1. have successfully connected via TTL and can see console
  2. Can get to execute either in shell or in CFE
  3. Appears there are issues with WLAN (no drivers)
  4. I cannot use TFP/TFTPD as there is no network traffic in/out of router

 

Does anyone know if i can flash from usb, or from the file locally on the router storage?
