I just installed "DD-WRT v24-sp2 (11/19/14) - build r25344" on my Netgear R6300v1.
(It seemed like the most recent download available in this category.)
Is this 11/19/2014 built the most updated available for Netgear R6300v1?
Does this mean that I remain vulnerable to the KRACK vulnerability that more modern DD-WRT builds protect against?
If you were using a Netgear R6300v1 and wanted to run the most up-to-date DD-WRT, how would you figure out what firmware to install (and where to find it)?
Thanks so much!!
P.S. This is a new post since my previous post had typos in the model number, and I couldn't figure out how to edit the post. I will try to delete it.
I know this is a late reply, but in case someone else stumbled upon this.
You can install latest ddwrt on it from https://download1.dd-wrt.com/dd-wrtv2/downloads/betas/2019/ dont let "betas" tag throw you off. They are only called that because there is active development on ddwrt. There hasnt been a "non beta" release in over 10 years.
Alternatively you can use FreshTomato firmware onto it https://mega.nz/#F!QywknIpa!5JwWNIfEwCOKXqXG0AOh4w
Both of those have vulnerabilities taken care of as of the time of this post.
