I just flashed a Netgear WNDR3400V2 router with a "DD-WRT v24-sp2 (04/17/14) mega - build Unversioned directory". I am trying to set it up as a Bridge Repeater so I can connect ethernet and wireless clients to my wireless cable router located downstairs where the signal is weak.
I read several different tutorials and many of them left me confused. Through trial and error, however, I am beginning to grasp it. I've successully bridged the Netgear to the router, but only ethernet clients can connect to the internet. Whenever I try to connect to the virtual interface, I either get incorrect login or a nondescript connection failure. I tried to turn on the log, but I couldn't enable it.
As a bit of possibly relevant info, if I click on "Site Survey" on the "Status_Wireless.asp" page, I can see more available wireless connections for wl0 than for wl1 which includes my cable modem. For wl1 I only see a CISCO_XXXXX listed, which is not the SSID I assigned my cable modem.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
