Hi,
My question is the following: do I really need a TTL-232R-3V3 to access the serial console on the 3500L via USB, or can I just hardwire the 4 cables to the DB9 serial connector on my laptop?

replying to myself here, I guess I need a TTL/RS232 circuit in between.
And as RS232/TTL are the same price as USB/TTL I guess I'm better off w/ the USB.
