double vpn in same router... impossible?

Hello all... I'm new to this site, also new to vpn configuring. Hope someone can help a bit with a vpn related problem. I hope I can explain it clearly.

I have a brand new Netgear WNR3500L. For business reasons I need an ip address from a location different than mine. So for this purpose, I flashed dd-wrt (not as difficult as I thought it was going to be) into the router, and got an online service with a provider that can assign my router an ip address from this different location. It works perfect. Now, this is achieved by means of an openvpn connection on their part.

All nice... But I also need to send the signal to a destination that also communicates through a vpn tunnel. My router has two LAN ports in use, one goes to my laptop, and the laptop shows the ip address desired (another location), and the other cable goes to the vpn device I use to communicate with the remote location. This device recognizes the new ip address (from the different location), but I'm told that it's not communicating to the destination.

The vpn provider that gives me the different location's ip address uses OpenVPN on any of a number of ports to choose from, and uses DHCP to reach their servers, while the other vpn device can only communicate through port 1194, as all devices in our network use this port.

The provider said that the tun-mtu count could be the culprit, so I used different values ranging from 1300 to 1500, in both the dd-wrt and my vpn device configs, but still my vpn device can't communicate.

I of course port forwarded port 1194 within dd-wrt, and even assigned the other vpn device to DMZ, but still its signal can't pass through.

Now, if I took away the provider's vpn settings, and I rely on my normal internet connection, the my vpn device can communicate ok through the dd-wrt enabled router. So, obviously there's a conflict between the two vpn configurations.

Sorry for the long preamble, but I think this needs to be explained.

My question is, can this conflict be solved while still being able to send the data from my other vpn device, showing it originates in the different location? So, I guess the real question is, can I use both vpn's in one router?

I've tried many things, I'm at the end of my wits, so any help will be oh so cool~!

Thanks!

Ok a few more details.

Ok a few more details.

With the vpn provider I am using UDP, but I could use TCP instead. My other vpn device can only use UDP at port 1194, as I said.

And the provider said that there's probably no solution, as two vpn's will block each other.

Is this true, or maybe there's a workaround?
