Printing in UNIX is like ghost riding a car.
Neat, but usually stupid, pointless, and the novelty wears off quickly.
I did print a Micro Center rebate form this morning though, that was useful.
I mostly did it because one of my clients likes paper invoices over .pdf invoices. As long as I get paid, it is a small concession. My new laptop doesn't have a paralell port-- but then again I did buy a $6 USB to IEEE 1284 cable with bridge circuitry and I have plenty of USB ports. But, now I could print from my toilet if I wanted. Then again I usually sit in the same place while working, so logistics could have been worked out. But then again my wife also could print from the toilet and not from where I like to work.
Ghost riding a router with aftermarket firmware man. I guess I really did it just to see if I could.
And yes, it is awesome when technology just works. Maybe one of the firmware gurus can bake this stuff in for various routers-- I am fairly certain nothing I did is printer specific and this should work for most flashable Broadcom based routers. There are also MIPS based routers that require a different .ipk though.
