I killed a DGND3700v2. Can I rebuild it?

I interrupted the power supply while the firmware was being updated.

Now I get to see the power light go on, the port lights flash on and that's it.

Is there anything I can do to get this machine working again?

I found a suggestion over at

I found a suggestion over at the NetGear forums which has worked.

  1. Hold the reset button down for about 10 seconds.
  2. Connect to the device using an ethernet cable.
  3. Use a web browser to connect to 192.168.0.01
  4. A web page informs you that the firmware is kaput and allows you locate and upload new firmware.
  5. This did not work with firmware 1.00.24  ( Safari on a Mac running OSX 10.6 )
  6. It did work with firmware 1.00.23 ( Safari on a Mac running OSX 10.10 )
