I was on a 12/2017 version with only 1 or 2 reset due to power outages in the past 5 months. Installed 2018-2-15 BIN and have to restart the router 3 times now. It just drops WiFi, and when you try to connect it says wrong ID / password until I reset it. LAN just disappears as well.
Any thoughts on what I should try to resolve it?
-N.
Do a factory reset and set up from scratch.
Does this happen with OEM FW installed?
Try Voxels FW to see as well...
Same happens to me, maybe 2x a week. A router reboot seems to fix it. I'm considering scheduling the router to reboot on a daily basis to prevent this.

Build 2018-15 (r7800) is "borked". My radios drop everyother day also. My R7000 works just fine on the laterst Kong Build. I have been working with DD-WRT builds going back many years and this build has radio problems.
What I am wondering is if anyone has gone back to the original build and is it stable? Untill a new build comes forth I am forced back to the stock netgear firmware on my r7800. I check-back every few weeks looking for a newer "Kong" build but no joy as of yet.
And as of now I am not yet ready to try Voxels FW just yet. I am so accustom to DD-WRT.
Go back to last working version?
That build did the same for me. I factory reset with switch on router, used factory password to gain access again then reflashed newer test 4.9 kernal. Happily all my original settings intact. Good luck
