Hello,
I'm not even sure where to start to search. I've search a lot! It's driving me insane so I just have to post!
By the way, I'm pretty noob so great DIY guide would help or response...
I just got a Netgear WNR3500L, I installed:
Firmware: DD-WRT v24-sp2 (08/07/10) std-usb-ftp
Now when I go to services > usb, no matter what combination of choices I choose, I cannot get the HD to mount.
It's a WD HD, 1TB formatted for Mac. I store my movies and time machine on it (2 different partitions)

EFI Partitions aren't supported. You should use use a linux tool like parted/qparted to create two partitions one ext3 and one hfs+ for your mac.
