New Router

For 2 years I have had the 3500Lv2 with Tomato running worked great. I just moved a bigger house and this router doesn't cut it anymore So I am going to sell my 3500 router.

I bought botht he ASUS ac66u and NightHawk router. The Asus seems to have slightly better coverage. My question is if I put either Tomato or DDRWT can I increase the power so I can increase my coverage.

I also use the usb for Mediastreaming so Which one should I go with
