Has anyone tried overclocking the WNR500 V L/U/2 router from 480Mhz? Just curous if possible and if it helped or caused any problems for you?

Just for fun, I overclocked a WNR3500V2 running dd-wrt 15778 std-nokaid to 532/266 and it was unstable (kept rebooting every few minutes). Did not try other frequencies between 453 (default) and 532 except for 480/240, which seems to be running fine.
If the WNR3500L has a 480mhz chip, why is the default speed only 453?
Good question. I don't know. That is what is shown in the dd-wrt status sys-info page.
Netgear must have lowered the speed for greater stability.
