Printer server on WNR3500L Tomato or DD-WRT

Hello every body

I want to use my wnr3500L with my printer epson R300 but I want to know if it is easy to install (plug and play) and which is the most simple, DD-WRT or Tomato.

I already use a old router with the DD-wrt, but I do not know the Tomato.

I do not see any new post for printer so maybe because is working well and easy to install but before to change the firmware, i want to know which one to use.

I already brick the first WNR3500L i had, so I do not wan to brick it again ;o)))
I install the mini without any problem but when i start to install the Big one it brick :o((
so this time I will not miss again ;o)))

I think the first is the mini:http://www.myopenrouter.com/download/29549/DD-WRT-for-NETGEAR-WNR3500L-Mini-CHK/

Than the Kong-MOD:http://www.myopenrouter.com/download/19806/DD-WRT-Kong-Mod-USB-FTP-miniDLNA-Samba3-WNR3500Lv1/

But how do I install the driver for my Printer? is it all ready in the router?

Thanks for your Help

I'm not sure which version of

I'm not sure which version of firmware if any will let the router offer a USB printer up as a network resource. That sounds more like SSHing into the OS and setting it up there, maybe over a network share drive. Not sure. It's probably easier to make a computer a print server rather than directly using the router.....

But if you can get the printer available to other machines on the network, however you did it, they'd be the ones that would need a driver.

Anyway, see these for possible idea on how to set it up in your particular environment. Not all will be applicable of course, but hopefully something is.

Thanks Kleber J.

Thanks Kleber J.
It look so difficult to do it. I did it on a NAS and it was more simple.
But i will try to see if my printer is recognized.

I use Tomato USB Shibby Built

I use Tomato USB Shibby Built on my WNR3500L with HP 8250 and work fine ;)

In paramaters enable USB and after if you use windows 7 or other add printer the IP of your WNR for me it's 10.0.0.1 and Port 9100 .

It's very easy to use this router for that .
