Hello everybody,
I bricked my router (Yes I'm sure of that and I tried a lot of things, including the famous 30-30-30)
I bought a TTL cable yesterday and followed the steps explained here to debrick the router.
The problem comes when I launch putty and then turn the router on : There are a lots of unprintable characters on putty !!!

Make sure you set these values for your serial console in putty:
Speed: 115000
Data: Bits 8
Stop: Bits 1
Parity: None
Flow Control: None
I used 115200, is it wrong ? (not at home ATM)
I used :
Speed: 115200
Data: Bits 8
Stop: Bits 1
Parity: None
Flow Control: None
Is the scrambled text a misconfiguration symptom ???
Sorry, it is suposed to be 115200, the scrambled text means that your jtag serial setup is not correct
Can you explain a bit more what is the jtag serial setup ?
The TTL cable, connects to the JTAG interface of the cpu via serial interface.
So if it is connected as specified-> pins are right and the serial console uses the correct settings there will be either no output or correct output. What TTL Adapter are you using?
These have been tested:
http://www.ftdichip.com/Products/Cables/USBTTLSerial.htm
My cable is a FTDI TTL-232R-3v3
USB to TTL Serial cable (3.3v) - 1.8m
Do you have a piece of advice for me ?
When I type text in the putty window,
it shows caracters but not the ones I typed, it looks like I can speak with the CPU but not with the good language ......
OOOOOOOOOOOOOOH MYYYYYYYYYYYY GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOD
