R9000 limited DHCP range

I bought a R9000 for a small business and ocassionally I need to support more than 254 host. I can't subnet this router beyond 254 IP's. What's the point of having a subnet mask if it doesn't change anything. I left the default IP as, the starting IP and mask as expecting an ending IPrange of but the ending IP is and the 3rd octet can't be changed. Does any of the alternate firmware provide flexibility to change more than just the last octet?

I created an account just to bump this post. Completely ludicrous oversight/bug for a router this expensive. NETGEAR, please fix!!!
