Reconnect on phone line down/up

For some reason my phone line gets an intermittent glitch and this causes the stock firmware to drop the connection which it then does nothing about.

It's happened at least twice that I know of, once when I was abroad (see below) and earlier this afternoon which is why I am posting.

If I am away from home I leave an IP security cam running and this lack of conectivity becomes a wee bit irksome.

Which of the alternative firmwares has the ability to reconnect if this happens? Another option would be automatically reconnect on a timed basis ...

Quick bump. This is still

Quick bump. This is still intermittently happening. Rebooting the router, leaving the modem alone reestablishes the connection.

Again, do any of the alternative firmwares cope with the phone line dropping connections or provide (say) auto reboot at fixed times?
