Router Lockup

I have recently installed the dd-wrt firmware provided in the forum, I also recenetly aquired a USB 3.0 3 TB NTFS formatted drive.  I can connect the drive fine, but if I transfer large amounts of data to the drive over SMB, the router locks up.  If I reboot the router with the drive plugged in, it will lock up after about 1 minute (maybe a disk check going on).  Any ideas of where to start debugging this?

Thanks!

On the new Netgear R7000 Kong

On the new Netgear R7000 Kong release mine locks up as well after few minutes, no hdds attached, only isp modem(around 15-20 users, wireless only)

That didnt happen on the older release from 10/24/15.

Disconnect the hdd and run without it, if it doesnt lock up within 30min you shouild be ok.

Well I've tracked this down

Well I've tracked this down to MiniDLNA.  If I disable this, I can share the drive over SMB with no lockups.  Next I'm going to try to move the MiniDLNA DB as described here:
