Some newbie trouble.

I just got a new Netgear WNR3500Lv2 and flashed it with Shibby's version of Tomato.

The flash itself was very easy and the router started up with plenty of more functions than the standard firmware which I am excited to try.

However, there are a couple of thigns that does not work and I don't know why.

1. Unlike the standard firmware, the router does not work "out of the box" when connected via the WAN port to my ADSL modem. I tried most of the options I could find on this site but no go.

2. On the satus screen where one can see the 5 ports, the ports are all inverted. This means than LAN1 is where the yellow WAN port is and LAN4 is LAN1 and so forth with LAN1 as LAN4.

3. If I configure my WAN port with static IP adresses, it shows on the status screen that the  device is connected to the internet regardless if the router is plugged into the modem or not.

4. It is not possible to select the WI-FI channel. It sticks to channel 6 after save.

For now, that is what I could find. What couldbe the possible reasons?
