Somebody should test this device with current OpenWrt trunk

Hi,

3 months ago wrote nbd from openwrt.org:

Somebody should test this device with current OpenWrt trunk. sflash support has been cleaned up and there were some other changes which might have made this device work.

See: https://dev.openwrt.org/ticket/4128

If someone ownes a WGR614L please give it a try and post the result.

Good luck,

Zaptac

Long story short: DO NOT try

Long story short: DO NOT try to use unpatched OpenWrt Backfire firmware.

At first run it will overwrite so called 'board data' region; destroying MAC addresses etc. OpenWrt patch available at Download section targets OpenWrt Kamikaze branch, you shouldn't even try to apply them by hand to the current trunk.

However, my own WGR614L is running the current OpenWrt trunk. I can provide guidance here, however you must own LVTTL serial cable and know how to use it.

I'm working on the topic. Stay tuned.
