Try this and then tell how to do this with a tomato router.

Do a traceroute to 216.81.59.173  Set max TTL >60

 

Don't be afraid, just do it!

Can I make my tomato router do this if someone traceroute my IP?

I think the hardest part is

I think the hardest part is getting hold of a spare /24. Look up Ryan Werber and Beagle Networks to see how he did it.
