Upgrade through tomato web interface

Currently i have tomato 1.27 which i installed with the help of this guide http://www.myopenrouter.com/article/18972/Installation-and-Quick-Review-...

I would now like to upgrade to a newer version but since i bricked my last wnr3500l I am now seeking guidance in which firmware i can install via the tomato web intrerface.

I have no clue if i should use toastmans firmware or tomato's so please point me in the direction of the latest and greatest

From Tomato you can upgrade

From Tomato you can upgrade to Tomato,TomatoUsb, Toastman's Tomato, or whatever tomato flavor you want.

TomatoUSB hasn't been updated since November 2010 I think, Toastman's one is up to date and has many features that TomatoUSB don't have (latest added is the VLAN GUI menu).

I use Toastman's latest v1.28.7477 MIPSR2-Toastman-RT-Beta K26 USB VPN.

You should perhaps perform a NVRAM erase and manual configuration (not restoring a conf backup) as many changes occured between those versions.

You can grab it here:

Don't use the NVRAM60K versions they are not intended for our machines and could brick them ;-). You can use any beginning by 'tomato-k26USB....'.
