Using period (".") as a host name in static lease causes WAN to stop working

I created some extra static leases as placeholders, setting MAC to 00:00:00:00:00:00 and a host name to period ("."). After doing this communication through WAN stopped working - I still get WAN IP but data are not being sent (there are no replies when I ping DNS I got automatically from provider).
