vlan tagging apparently not working

I have a WNR3500L V2 with Tomato 1.28

I'm trying to set up a separate AP with L2 tagging, and a guest network, but I haven't been able to make it work. So I've taken a step back and tried to set up a virtual wireless on the router using tomato

I've set up according to the following:

but there is no internet access from the virtual network. It does not issue a DHCP address nor can I ping the WNR when I add a manual address. Everything works fine from the main wireless.

The "tagged" boxes on vlan are grayed out which leaves me to believe that L2 tagging is not supported. I have made no entries in ipchains.

Any  help as to what I'm missing here?
