Hi. I just want to know if it will void my warranty if i use 3rd party firmware like DD-WRT or Tomato? The thing is, I'm having problems with my router. So i flashed it to DD-WRT. Unfortunately, it didn't help me solve my problems. Still lagging when playing on Xbox Live, i get 1-2 bars. However, when i use direct line from my MODEM, i have excellent connection. I already open the ports, NAT, enabled uPNP and DMZ the Xbox iP Address and still no improvement. I'm guessing that my it's my NETGEAR WNR-3500L. I'm planning to call Netgear to request for a fix or replacement. I would like to know if it will void my warranty if they found out that i have 3rd party firmware? Thanks in advance!

Get them to support their warranty BEFORE you use third-party software. I had a similar situation and the device stopped responding. Netgear sent me an email saying "you installed third party software and therefore have voided your warranty." DON'T DO IT IF YOU'D LIKE WARRANTY SUPPORT.
