Wake on LAN over Internet - Help needed

Hi,

I'm trying to configure WOL over Internet, but from what I'm gathered it's not supported on this router.

It's technically possible, it is working but only for a brief time after shutting down the computer. But as the IP to the computer isn't cashed for very long on the router after shutdown it will not work.

Anyway to change how long the IP is cached or have the device remain in attached devices?

Another solution would be to forward the chosen port for 10.0.0.255, but this is not allowed.

Anyway around this?

Or do you have any experience with WOL over Internet on this model?

I do not quite understand:

I do not quite understand: you can reserve concrete IP for concrete computer in your LAN in router DHCP settings.

I do use WOL over Internet, but I am not sure that my experience would be helpful for you. I use ether WOL console program entering to router console by SSH from remote place or use my web page (where web server is running on my R7500) with script similar to console program. I use Entware programs (or Debian) for that. Externals tools.

Could you give some specific guidance as to how to proceed setting your method or something similar up?

probably too much to read :-)

Maybe it would be more simple for you to reserve fixed IP of your "computer to wake" in your LAN and to set up corresponding port forwarding in your R7500 to this fixed IP (if router is accessible from Internet). Minus of this solution is that everyone will be able to wake up your computer...
