i was hoping for some technical advise on a idea for the Netgear WGR614v9 Routers
there's 2 types of version.9
the normal Netgear v9 firmware
and a VirginMedia Netgear v9 Firmware
the virginmedia edition fail's to take the normal netgear firmware, so there's guides on the web how to Telnet and Change BurnBoardID, thus allowing to load the normal netgear firmware via the web interface.
so i was wandering, instead of telnet and following a guide and changing board-id that some people have problems with
would it be possible to Hex Edit the board id in the original netgear firmware
from U12H094T00_NETGEAR to U12H094T85_NETGEAR
to hopefully trick the router ito thinking its a virgin fimware thus allowing the upgrade
