I have a WNR3500L I wanted to put Toastmans Tomato on.
I did my homework and got everything ready.
Did a 30-30-30 and flashed wit dd-wrt min. Did another 30-30-30 and ddd-wrt came up fine.
Used the dd-wrt mini for a day and it worked well.
Downloaded tomato-K26USB-1.28.7498.1MIPSR2-Toastman-RT-Ext.trx and changed the extension to .bin
Did a 30-30-30 and upgraded to Toastman via the dd-wrt mini software
dd-wrt said sucessful upgrade, did another 30-30-30.
When the router finished booting up (the boot light sequence looked normal to me!) I was unable to connect to the router.
A release /renew didn't help. Another 30-30-30 didn't help. An ipconfig shows no ip address issued by the router.
Am I bricked? Where did I go wrong? I was careful to follow all directions carefully.
Any chance of recovery without going the usb cable route ?
Thanks
schuh
I believe DHCP is disabled by default in most Tomato builds. Set your PC to static IP of 192.168.1.x and connect via a cable - You should get to the router web interface at 192.168.1.1. Good Luck.
