Where do you plan on placing

Where do you plan on placing it in the house? Is the house multiple stories and do you plan on accessing it from other floors?

My house was built in 1913 and is 2 floors plus basement. I have my router in the basement next to the cable modem. I only have G (54 Mbps) devices and they seem to pick up OK through out the house, but connection speed will drop down to 48 Mbps and sometimes 36 Mbps in different areas of the house farthest away from the router. Funny thing though, my son gets 54 Mbps in his room on the 2nd floor, but it is directly above where the router is placed 2 floors below.

thanks for the reply the unit

thanks for the reply the unit will be on the ground floor of a 2 story house my son has an xbox 360 (wireless 1st floor) which is the issue in as much that if Im downloading then it effects the xbox and visa versa Im assuming Quality of Service will help as well as portforwarding Im hoping to setup a N access point for the xbox
