hi, I just got a WNR3500L and I'm using it not as a router but just a hub and access point behind my dsl router (in other words, I'm not using the internet port) What I'd like to do is have a guest wireless network that I can throttle and do QoS on, while the main secure network is unthrottled. It looks like this is impossble on the factory firmware and after some research it's unclear whether any open firmware out there can do what i'm talking about without use of the WAN port. Alternatively, if i could set the WAN port to be on the same network as the LAN i could accomplish the same, but the factory FW wont allow that. Can anyone tell me if what i'm trying to do can be done and which FW would be best for this? ideally i'd like to limit the guest network to only http low-bw, and it would even be cool to have a welcome web page guests get directed to when they first connect, like you see on public wireless networks at airports and colleges and such.
